Essentials Update: It’s *sniff* Beautiful!

Essentials' April 2018 update offers solutions for when customers add complications to your contracts.

Ah, spring (for our friends above the equator, at least).

It’s nature’s time of abundance, variety, and reproduction, as those of us with allergies are familiar with. And when you add variety (like multiple payment methods on one contract, payments that need to be assigned to multiple contracts, etc.) in the rental world, that, like pollen, can give you a headache and make you feel miserable. That’s why we’re giving you solutions with our most recent update.

Make payments against multiple transactions

When you have true account customers, or even anyone else who has multiple open transactions at the same time, it can be burdensome to have them write payments for each separate contract. Now we offer the ability to accept one payment that can be applied throughout a customer’s contracts, simplifying the process for you and your customers.

Refund to multiple cards

Sometimes a customer puts their deposit on one credit card and pays with another, which can be frustrating to deal with. Essentials now allows you to choose which card to refund payments to first, then allow you to refund the remainder to the other card.

Searchable reports

Essentials has more than 70 reports that you can use to see what’s going on with your business. While longtime Essentials users likely know the exact location of their favorites, we have a lot of people just starting their Essentials journey. That’s why we made it possible for you to search for each report, cutting down the time you have to spend looking for just the right data.

We added nearly a dozen more features and optimized your experience with another 41 enhancements as well. We hope that it’s your happiness over these improvements, not allergies, that bring a tear to your eyes this spring.
